DTM team boss: Ralf would be great for DTM

HWA AG Team boss Hans Werner Aufrecht would welcome Ralf Schumacher in DTM if the German would consider a switch from Formula 1. Aufrecht responded to various rumours in the German media. According to those rumours Ralf Schumacher would have been in touch with Audi to join the DTM series in 2008.

At the moment Ralf Schumacher is going through a disappointing season in Formula 1. He scored only five points so far. At the end of this season his Toyota F1 contract will end and it is uncertain if the Cologne based team will extend his contract.

"A name such as Ralf Schumacher would be great for DTM," Aufrecht told German news agent SID. "I am sure that when Ralf gets the right car he can fight for the championship in DTM. I am sure he will enjoy this race serie."
