Liuzzi working hard to stay in F1

06 September 2007

Vitantonio Liuzzi's future in Formula 1 is still unsealed. The Italian will be replaced by Sebastien Bourdais in 2008 at Scuderia Toro Rosso and thus has to search for a new team. Liuzzi doesn't expect to run into a job soon though, but does hope he can stay in Formula 1 for another season.

Speaking in Thursday's press conference Liuzzi said: "Sure, I am working on next year and my aim is to stay in Formula One. That has been my goal ever since I joined it and I want to show what I can do when I'm in a competitive team. This year we had a lot of problems unfortunately.

"Nothing is fixed though at the moment. We are on hold in the driver market and we probably have to wait about two or three more weeks before we know what the options are. I am working hard on it and hope to get a chance."
