Hamilton not 100 per cent happy with car

Lewis Hamilton revealed that he could not beat Fernando Alonso in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix as he is not 100 per cent happy with the balance of his McLaren.

"It was quite a good battle we had going on there," Hamilton said after qualifying. "It was a good run. The first timed lap wasn't great, but I got something more out of the car on the second run. I'm not 100 per cent happy with the balance but we've got a good result for the team. It's the fifth time we've locked out the front row, so hopefully we can keep it that way tomorrow."

"When you come from Turkey with a reasonably high downforce to here where you have virtually none, the acceleration is really different and going through the corners is very challenging even though it looks simple," he added.
