Dennis promises to stay at McLaren

09 September 2007

Ron Dennis has vowed to stay at the helm of McLaren despite admitting that the current spy scandal is the most extreme test he has endured in over 30 years of Formula One.

"I think there are a few people around here who would like me to go," Dennis told reporters at Monza. "If it's something I thought would be in the best interests of the company then I wouldn't hesitatebut I don't think it's the right thing to do."

With all the effort from Ferrari to destabilise his team, which leads both championships, Dennis has also had to contend with managing a fiery relationship between his drivers this season.
