Spyker F1's chief technical officer Mike Gascoyne was positive about the team's progress after Friday's free practice session. The Briton, who will see his Spyker B-spec have its second outing this weekend at Spa, believes the team has a good chance to make it into the second knock-out round in qualifying on Saturday.
Speaking about the team's progress it made on Friday Gascoyne said: "In general it was a very productive day spoiled at the end by a silly mistake by Adrian on his in lap, but overall the B-spec car is much more competitive here as we expected. Both drivers look very good over a long run and on new tyres and we have to build on this. We now have a step forward and I think there is a good chance that we may make it into Q2."
