Todt believes McLaren received a soft penalty

17 September 2007

Ferrari's Formula 1 team boss Jean Todt has said McLaren received a very soft penalty in the spy saga last week. The McLaren F1 team was fined 100 million dollar and got excluded from the constructors' championship.

Jean Todt commented at Spa that he wasn't too happy with the whole situation. "We are unhappy," he said. "Our main rival was found guilty and was punished with a soft penalty. If you would get deeply into this sad story you will realise that this is a very soft punishment."
