Button unhappy with ongoing problems at Honda
19 September 2007Honda F1 driver Jenson Button is getting slightly frustrated with the ongoing problems with Honda's 2007 Formula 1 car. The team has been struggling ever since the 2007 F1 season started and the team has scored only two points so far. After Sunday's Belgian Grand Prix Button was even relieved that his race came to an end due to a mechanical problem.
Looking back at his Belgian Grand Prix Jenson Button told Speed TV: "We knew it was going to be tough and it was. The car just isn't working. Kubica overtook me through Blanchimont on the outside, and as he turned in, it lost all downforce. I actually went straight on, I almost went in the wall! I finally got some front grip and turned and carried on, but it was pretty hairy.

"And that's the problem with the car. You can have good downforce on the straight, and as soon as you get to a corner you lose it, and that's what we're trying to play with here. It's just doing completely the wrong thing. "And Sutil passed me on the straight, like I was stood still! He must have been doing 20kph more than me, but he was on two stops."
Button furthermore admitted he was glad his race came to an end due to a problem with his car. "I had hydraulic failure, which was quite nice really. The problem is when you have hydraulic failure first the clutch goes, and then the steering goes, you lose power steering," he said.
