McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa completed the fastest lap at Jerez on the second day of testing. The Spaniard completed his fastest lap in 1.19.267. The teams are preparing themselves in the South of Spain for the upcoming Japanese and Chinese Grand Prix.

In Sunny Jerez testing continued on Wednesday with nine teams being present. All but Super Aguri and Spyker travelled to the South of Spain.

At Red Bull Racing Mark Webber took over duties from the team's test driver Sebastien Buemi, while at BMW test driver Timo Glock gave the wheel to regular driver Nick Heidfeld. At Honda F1 Jenson Button joined the team. At Scuderia Toro Rosso Liuzzi continued testing for the team and around the end of the afternoon Sebastian Vettel took over from the Italian.

There were a couple of red flags that stopped the session for a while but there were no major incidents.
