Like many other racing drivers Roldan Rodriguez has one main goal; racing in Formula 1. His main goal came a step closer on Thursday when he was announced as the Spyker F1 team's official test driver at a press conference in Madrid.
The young Spaniard, who is currently racing in the exciting GP2 series, will help the team in the off-season with the development of the car.
"This test drive is a good opportunity for me to get more F1 experience," said Rodriguez. "I enjoyed the shakedown at Silverstone but as we could only do 50km, I am pleased that I can now get more mileage under my belt. I know the team has high expectations for next year and I really want to help it achieve its aims by contributing to the development programme over the winter."
