Dennis: We need to get this distraction behind us

McLaren's Formula 1 team boss Ron Dennis has said the team will not appeal against the World Motor Sport Council decision because the team wants to focus on what really matters to them; winning races and championship.

The team was fined 100 million dollar and kicked out of the constructors' championship. Many would expect the team to appeal against the extrodinary fine, but Ron Dennis has said the team wants to move on. "We believe the time has come to put this huge distraction behind us," Dennis explained. "McLaren wants to win races and world championships. We are fortunate to have, and continue to receive, unwavering support from our employees, sponsor partners and Formula 1 fans across the world - all of whom are equally keen that we totally focus on winning this year's Drivers' Championship and the remaining three races of the season."
