
Red Bull announced that their former Formula 1 protégé Scott Speed will join their team in the ARCA RE/MAX Series in the USA at Talladega Superspeedway in the first week of October. It will mark Speed's debut in stock car racing.
Like Juan Pablo Montoya who ended his F1 career early and left Europe for stock car racing in the US, Scott Speed will now debut for Eddie Sharp Racing. On October fifth he will debut in the series.
Speaking about his switch to stock car racing Speed said: "I come from a completely different world of racing, so there's no doubt it's going to be a challenge learning how these cars handle, but I'm ready to get out there and see what I've got!"
The team Speed will join, Eddie Sharp Racing, is one of the best team's n the ARCA series. The American will be backed by Red Bull.
