Giancarlo Fisichella's manager Enrico Zanarini has said the Italian's future at the Renault Formula 1 team is uncertain until Alonso will make a decision on his future with or without the McLaren F1 team. Fisichella's contract expires at the end of the season and Renault F1 team boss Flavio Briatore made it very clear he would welcome back Fernando Alonso to his team at any time.
According to Fisichella's manager the driver market is placed on hold thanks to Alonso. Speaking to Gazzetta dello Sport Zanarini said about the situation: "It is all very confusing at this moment. Everyone is waiting to see where Alonso will race in 2008. And until we know we will just have to wait and see what will happen. We have already talked a lot (with Renault) but everyone is waiting to see whether or not Alonso will leave McLaren.
"So at this point we don't know anything until Alonso will leave. At that point we will have to see where free seats are available. But at this moment we just wait."
