Alonso will do his talking on track
27 September 2007Fernando Alonso says he will do his talking on the circuit this weekend at Fuji after his boss Ron Dennis revealed a fortnight ago the pair are barely on speaking terms. Alonso faced the media in Japan and was pressed about his role in the F1 spy row which cost McLaren the constructors' championship and $100 million.
"I have nothing to say about the spying, I will let my driving do the talking on the track and do my job," Alonso told reporters at Fuji. "Many of the things that have been said about the spying story and me are completely wrong and untrue."
"These things happen," he added. "I will not spend every day answering what has been reported or said about me. I won't waste time on that. I can't spend all my time answering rumours and giving my version to anyone."
"At the moment I'm completely focused on the last three races," he concluded.
