Massa denies Toyota rumours
28 September 2007Felipe Massa has denied that he is hedging his bets for next season by talking to Toyota about a potential drive. Latest rumours in the Fuji paddock suggest that Fernando Alonso may even find himself over at Ferrari, replacing Massa, despite the fact the Brazilian still has a year left on his contract.
The rumours started when Massa's manager was reported to have been seen visiting the Toyota motorhome in Belgium, but Massa has moved to deny that ever happened.
"I'd be very interested to know who saw my manager at Toyota," Massa told reporters at Fuji. "Everyone says people saw him there, but he wasn't. I've never been to see Toyota either."
"When you have a contract that finishes at the end of next year, why would you be speaking to other teams?" he asked. "I'm really happy at Ferrari and would like to finish my career here."
