Toro Rosso to appeal against 25-second penalty

Vitantonio Liuzzi was handed a 25-seconds penalty for overtaking Spyker Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil in Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix. According to his team though Liuzzi overtook Sutil when he passed thee first green flag and thus shouldn't have received a peanlty.

At first Liuzzi was thrilled to have finally scored his first championship point of the season, but about 2 hours after the race the race stewards announced they gave the Italian a penalty of 25 seconds on top of his finish time. With this penalty Liuzzi finished ninth instead of eighth.
