The FIA confirmed on Friday that the appeal for Vitnatonio Liuzzi's 25-second penalty will be heard next Friday. The race stewards punished Liuzzi as the Italian overtook Adrian Sutil under yellow flags at Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix.
The appeal was lodged by the Automobile Club d'Italia on behalf of its license-holder Scuderia Toro Rosso against the Stewards' decision.
Liuzzi finished the race in 8th position, but lost his position to Sutil after the Italian received his 25-second penalty. The outcome of the hearing will be important both the Toro Rosso and Spyker as for both teams it would be its first point this season.
