Alonso - eight points 'a help'

Fernando Alonso was in a markedly different mood after finishing second in the Chinese Grand Prix and closing the gap to Lewis Hamilton back down to four points with one race remaining.

"It was a good result today and the eight points is a help," Alonso said. "The first lap was interesting with Felipe in turn one, two and four. I didn't manage to finish the lap in front of him which cost me a bit of time in the first part of the race and I wasn't very comfortable behind him. When he pitted that helped me get out ahead."
