Silverstone is set to unveil its development plans and invite residents from nearby neighbourhoods to comment on the proposals. The plans include a motor sport technology park, college, business park, hotels, restaurants and more housing near to Silverstone village.
A museum and welcome centre are also being proposed as part of the circuit modernisation and to try to make Silverstone the kind of tourist destination that other major circuits in the world are, such as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The British Grand Prix is estimated to bring £40m to the local economy each year. The plans will be available publicly from 16 October.
