Filippi to test Honda F1 at Barcelona?

GP2 race winner Luca Filippi will most likely get a day of action at Circuit de Catalunya with the Honda Formula 1 team. Last week the Italian spend a day of testing with the DPR team and team boss David Price revealed Filippi received one day of testing with the Honda F1 team.

DPR Team boss David Price said: "I managed to negotiate him a test with Honda in Barcelona next month and we're trying to establish a relationship. Whether we can go forward into the winter and next season we'll see."

For Filippi, who was fourth fastest in the Friday morning session at Jerez, the test will be his first taste of contemporary Formula One machinery, but not his first time in a Grand Prix car. In 2005 he tested a Minardi at Vallelunga as a result of winning the Italian F3000 Championship.

The Honda Formula 1 team did not want to confirm the team's drivers line-up for their test session in Barcelona.
