Ralf: I will race in F1 next season

16 October 2007

On Sunday Ralf Schumacher will race his last race for the Toyota Formula 1 team, but the German driver has said it will not be his last race in Formula 1. Schumacher confirmed he will be racing in Formula 1 next season once again.

The 2007 F1 season is already Ralf Schumacher's eleventh season in Formula One. After his first two years at Jordan he joined the Williams team in 1999. After six seasons with the Williams F1 team he joined Panasonic Toyota Racing in 2005. He scored 70 points so far in his three seasons with the Cologne based team. On Sunday Ralf will race his final Grand Prix for the team. "It's a shame the season didn't go as well as we had hoped for," Ralf Schumacher told German newspaper Bild. "I would rather say goodbye to the team with different results."

The 32-year-old is not worried about his future in Formula 1 though. "I am not worried at all," he said. "I know certain things that will make sure I can sleep at night. I am certain that I will race in Formula 1 next season and I'm already looking forward to it."
