Alonso hopes Raikkonen can keep his title

McLaren driver Fernando Alonso believes Kimi Raikkonen is the right champion for the 2007 Formula 1 season. The Spaniard is unhappy to see his team making plans to protest against the race stewards as they did not punish the BMW and Williams team. Both the BMW and Williams cars were found illegal after the race, but in the end the stewards of the race decided not to punish the teams.

When BMW and William would both receive a penalty or would be disqualified Lewis Hamilton would win the 2007 Formula One championship title. But according to Fernando Alonso this should never happen. "If Lewis would win the title like that I would get embarrassed about this sport," Alonso said on Spanish radio. "I don't know how Hamilton feels about this but I expect he would feel like he deserved this. I'm sure he'd be really happy."
