Theissen still learning

BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen says he is still learning a lot about F1 and being a works team boss, despite having been involved in the sport for many years.

"With the new team I landed in situations I had never previously found myself in," said Theissen. "As an example, we can take Robert's accident in Montreal, which caused anxious moments all round. Then it was imperative that the situation be managed correctly." 

"Out of necessity one experiences personal growth," he added.

BMW finished second in the constructors' championship after McLaren was excluded over the spy affair.
