Heidfeld enjoying performance pay-off

Nick Heidfeld says he is enjoying finally driving for a performing team after spending most of his 134 Grand Prix career racing around for uncompetitive outfits.

"Going through the experience of team building and team structuring provided me with my biggest learning curve," 30-year-old Heidfeld said of his time so far with BMW.

"I drove for various teams, and had to feel my way around," he added. "And now I have been in at the start-up phase of the BMW Sauber F1 Team. It has been a great period."

"I think my approach had become somewhat cooler," Heidfeld went on. "I am no longer as awe-struck as I once was."
