Nakajima hopes to become best Japanese F1 driver

Nakajima hopes to become best Japanese F1 driver

07 November 2007

Kazuki Nakajima was announced as the Williams F1 official team driver for 2008. The Japanese driver enjoyed his first Formula One race in Brazil last month and gave himself a challenging target for next season: to be the top Japanese driver.

For many years Takuma Sato has been Japan's best Formula 1 driver, but in 2008 Nakajima hopes he can stay ahead of the experienced Takuma Sato. Speaking to Reuters he said: "It would be nice for me to be the top Japanese driver but to achieve that I have to push a lot, even if I am in a good team. But that's the target and that's what I want to achieve for next year."
