Fisichella still hanging in there

Giancarlo Fisichella is still hanging in at Renault hopeful that his contract will be renewed once all the Fernando Alonso drama shakes out. In an attempt to push the team into making a decision, Fisichella's manager Enrico Zanarini says the Italian is considering his options.

"The situation will untangle when Renault makes a decision," Zanarini told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper. "It's a matter of choices and when Renault decides we'll know a bit more. In any case, once the rumours of a possible return by Alonso began, we started to look around."

"We've had discussions with teams that have a free seat," he added. "But there are no ongoing deal talks. In any case, we're waiting for a decision from Renault."
