McLaren appeal fails

McLaren appeal fails

16 November 2007

McLaren's appeal against the decision of Brazilian Grand Prix stewards not to penalise the BMW and Williams cars for a fuel temperature irregularity has been thrown out by the FIA's International Court of Appeal.

The Court of Appeal met in London on Thursday to examine McLaren's appeal and there were no surprises late on Friday when the verdict came.

A statement from the FIA read, "Having heard the explanations of both parties and having examined the various documents and other evidence, the Court decided that the appeal lodged by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is inadmissible."
