Singapore nets title sponsor

The inaugural Singapore Grand Prix has netted a title sponsor for the first ever F1 night-race to be held on 28 September 2008.

The event will be sponsored by Singapore Telecommunications and will be called the SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone hailed the sponsorship as good news, "SingTel is a powerful player in the world of telecommunications and we are delighted to welcome them as the title sponsor of the first ever Formula 1 race in Singapore."
