The BMW Sauber F1 team may have finished second in the constructors' championship this season, but team boss Mario Theissen says the success feels rather hollow given that McLaren was disqualified ahead of them.
"We set ourselves the goal of fourth place, so third was a great bonus," Theissen said. "The powers that be then promoted us further, but it's a pretty empty second place in our eyes."
"We're well aware that four cars were faster than us this year and we want to beat them on the track, not in the corridors of power," he added.
