BMW sets sights on aero improvement

The single biggest area of improvement for the BMW team in 2008 will be with aerodynamics, according to team boss Mario Theissen who has said his team's goal for next season is to become a race-winning outfit.

"Improvements can always be made across the board, but the greatest scope for progress clearly lies in aerodynamics," said Theissen. "It's not a question of eliminating a specific weakness for 2008, but of finding the extra three to five percent in all areas which can bring us up to the level of the top teams. It really is a matter of fine-tuning - evolution rather than revolution."
