Takuma Sato has admitted he hopes he can continue to race for the Super Aguri Formula 1 team for a third season. The Japanese team founded by Aguri Suzuki has yet to announce both drivers for the 2008 Formula One season.
"I had several options for next season, but at the moment I am discussing my future with Super Aguri," Takuma Sato told GPUpdate.net at the Honda 'Thanks day' at the Twin Ring in Montegi, Japan. "The team is trying its best and we are looking at the best possible deal for both the team and myself.
The 2008 season will be the third season for Super Aguri in Formula 1. In our first season we started a team from scratch. In our second year we achieved our goal, which was to score some points and not finishing last in the constructors' championship. If the team wants to take another step forward we need to be financially stable and able to develop the car throughout the season. My only aim for 2008 is to exceed this season's results."
