Ralf would like McLaren seat

Just when it looked like Ralf Schumacher's F1 career was over, the former Toyota driver has popped up saying he's pitching his talents for Fernando Alonso's space at the McLaren Mercedes team.

"It's no secret that the seat at McLaren is the most wanted out there," Ralf told the Bild newspaper in Germany. "Every driver out there would like to sit in their car."

Ralf went on to say that he hasn't yet had any formal contact with McLaren about the vacancy, but still believes he has what it takes to be a front-runner.
