McLaren in no hurry to announce Hamilton's team-mate

29 November 2007

The McLaren Formula 1 team has yet to announce its 2008 driver line-up. As Fernando Alonso left the team at the end of the season there is an interesting seat available in the drivers market. McLaren's team boss Ron Dennis though has said the team is in no rush to announce the team's second driver already.

Speaking with Colombian newspaper El Tiempo Ron Dennis explained: "We have not yet made a decision on the team's second driver. We are not in a hurry. It could be Pedro de la Rosa, but there are also many other options. I can not give names though.

"The only thing I do know is that we do not wish to rush into things. We are working with Hamilton and once we came to an agreement with another driver we will begin to work with that person."
