Jenson Button has changed his tune somewhat since Honda announced that Ross Brawn would be the new team principal. Before that announcement Button had publicly warned the team that if it failed to show significant improvement in 2008, he would be looking elsewhere.
"The future does look very good," Button was quoted as saying by Autosport now that Brawn has officially started at Honda. "I don't really think I need to big up Ross as his results speak for themselves."
"As a team we've been good over the year," he added. "Nick Fry and everyone have done a good job managing the team, but on the technical side we've been missing something and Ross fills that role."
"I'm looking forward to the future, and it is exciting," he added "2008 will be a better season but it's not just about 2008, we have to look at the future and I'm very excited."
