GP2 driver Javier Villa hopes he can become BMW Sauber F1's new test driver in 2008. The Spaniard will be testing with the team at Jerez this week.
"I'm really happy with my test," Villa said. "Next week's test will be my Formula 1 debut and to enjoy my debut with a team such as BMW means a lot to me. It's a large team that made a lot of progression.
"As Glock joined Toyota the team needs a new test driver. I'd be really happy if they would choose me obviously. I will do the best I can in Jerez."
