Fisichella shows interest in Force India

Giancarlo Fisichella has shown his interest to race with the Force India Formula 1 team if Renault wouldn't be able to offer him a seat in 2008. It's been said that the Renault team is trying to get Fernando Alonso back at the team to race alongside Nelson Piquet jr. and thus there wouldn't be any seat available anymore for Fisichella next season.

Speaking to the gathered media in Jerez Fisichella said after his first day of testing with the Force India Formula 1 team: "The project the team showed me is really interesting. The team has a much bigger budget in 2008 than it had this year. I believe I can give the team a lot. I know the team is not ready to win races yet but I believe it is capable of scoring good results under the right conditions.

Fisichella will now have to wait for Renault. "The team has not decided anything yet. I am still waiting for a cal to hear the team's decision on next season."
