McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton was Wednesday's fastest driver out on track in Jerez. The Englishman completed a total of 73 laps and set his fastest time in 1.19.371. Coulthard was also once again fast underway. The Red Bull driver clocked the second fastest time, just ahead of Ferrari drivers Massa and Raikkonen.

In perfect conditions testing continued on Wednesday in Jerez. With 20 degrees and not a cloud in the sky the eleven Formula 1 teams began their second day of testing. The session was only interrupted a couple of times with red flags. In the morning Piquet and Hamilton caused a red flag with a spin. Both Nick Heidfeld and Sebastian Vettel caused a red flag as they stopped on track.

In the afternoon Mark Webber stopped his car on track with a mechanical failure and the final red flag of the day was caused by Nico Rosberg as he stopped his car at the end of the pitlane.

On Thursday Michael Schumacher will be back behind the wheel of the Ferrari Formula 1 car.
