Javier Villa enjoyed his first outing in a Formula 1 car on Tuesday in Jerez. The young Spaniard completed half a day of testing with the team. Even though he enjoyed his F1 debut he will put his focus on the GP2 series rather than becoming a test and reserve driver at BMW Sauber F1.

Speaking to GPUpdate.net Villa said about his test with the BMW Sauber F1 team: "My first impression was really good. After two or three runs you feel pretty familiarized already with the car and much more comfortable. I was then able to start pushing the car a bit more. The biggest difference with a GP2 car is the aero package and hope easy you can go through the fast corners. The BMW car gave me a really good impression. "

In the last few days the Spanish media suggested Villa was offered a role to become the team's test driver, but Villa is currently completely focussed on his third season in GP2. ``I can't become their test driver because I will be racing in GP2 next season. It wouldn't fit in to do both. If I would be the team's fourth driver perhaps it would be possible. I could take part in a few test sesssions and would not be on duty during the Friday's in a GP weekend. I want to stay focussed on my GP2 season for now.
Villa does eye a future in Formula One for himself though. ``Now I have experienced Formula 1 I know where I want to go.´´
