Hulkenberg enjoyed F1 debut

10 December 2007

German race talent Nico Hulkenberg said he can look back at a positive debut in Formula 1. The 20-year-old Hulkenberg made his fame in last season's A1GP season where he clinched the championship for A1 Team Germany. Last week he completed two days of testing for the Williams F1 team.

Speaking about his Formula 1 debut Hulkenberg said: "My first experience in a Formula One car was really exciting. I spent the first day just getting used to the car, in particular the speeds and the brakes as they're quite different to what I'm used to.

"Having a second day in the cockpit then allowed me to make some good progress with my times and I feel I worked well with the engineers to give some technical feedback. Overall, it was really good fun so thanks to the team for giving me the opportunity."
