Force India to announce drivers this month

Force India plans to confirm it its 2008 driver line-up by the end of this month according to co-owner Vijay Mallya. Adrian Sutil is expected to retain his seat after a solid debut season but competition to be his team mate is plenty.

Those in the running are Christian Klien, Tonio Liuzzi, Ralf Schuamcher and Giancarlo Fisichella.

"It will be a very difficult decision I have to make," Mallya told the official F1 website. "All of them are very good and would all bring different strengths to the team. Clearly we have Sutil on the one side and I need to make sure that the driver in the other car is able to raise the bar, so that both drivers keep raising the performance standard all the time and help the engineering team along."

Mallya insisted his team is not interested in any pay drivers. When asked when the team would announce its drivers he replied, "At the end of December."
