Heikki Kovalainen says he was expecting to be dropped by Renault for 2008 but he is not at a loss as he claims to have two other offers for next season.
Kovalainen is widely expected to end up at McLaren to replace Alonso now that Williams has reconfirmed Nico Rosberg, the other frontrunner for the McLaren seat. His other option is widely rumoured to be Toyota who might nudge out Jarno Trulli for the Finn.
"The Renault decision was something we expected," Kovalainen told Finnish TV channel MTV3. "For some time now we've been going through other options. Renault made its decision but luckily there are two other options with interesting offers."
