Mutua Madrilena exits McLaren

The McLaren Formula 1 team has lost one of its Spanish sponsors. On Thursday Mutua Madrilena announced that it will no longer continue its sponsorship with the team.

In 2005 the Spanish insurance company joined the Renault F1 team and Fernando Alonso as a sponsor. After three years in Formula 1 the company decided to quit on the McLaren F1 team but did said in a statement that the decision had nothing to do with the departure of Fernando Alonso.
