Karthikeyan: I deserve another shot in F1

17 December 2007

Narain Karthikeyan has said that Formula 1 is unfinished business for him. The current A1GP driver, who won Sunday's race at the Zhuhai track, will see his Williams F1 contract end at the end of the year, but is determined to return in Formula One.

According to the 30-year-old from India he is still capable of performing at the highest level. "Whether anyone likes it or not, I have won at every level I have competed except F1," he told DNA. "I never bothered about what some people were saying, I knew what I was up to. "

And thus Formula 1 is unfinished business for Karthikeyan. "I deserve another shot at F1," he said. "I am fast and I have always driven well without driver aids. But for now I am glad we have sorted out our A1 qualifying woes. It's good to win and it sends out the signal that I am far from finished."
