The FIA announced on Tuesday that there will no longer be another hearing on McLaren's 2008 car design. As McLaren apologised earlier this month and said it will free the development of parts that could have been inspired on Ferrari technology the FIA believes it can now end the spy scandal.
A World Motor Spor Council hearing was scheduled February 14th in Paris to see once more how much Ferrari information has been used in McLaren's 2008 contender. Many in the world of Formula 1 will be relieved the spy sage has finally came to an end.
In a short statement the FIA said on Tuesday:
Further to the proposal of the FIA President, the World Motor Sport Council has agreed to cancel the hearing scheduled for February 14, 2008.
