Karthikeyan still hopes for F1

22 December 2007

Narain Karthikeyan is still hopeful of making a return to Formula One, despite being dropped as Williams' test driver after two seasons. The Indian raced a full season for Jordan back in 2005 and on the back of securing his country's first win in A1 Grand Prix, Karthikeyan says there's still time for him to come back to F1.

"I've just been doing testing and had ample time on my hands so I wanted a challenge to keep racing," Karthikeyan told Reuters about his stint in A1 Grand Prix. "The A1 Grand Prix victory is essential, so that you can shut up the critics. F1 is not the end of the world and I still have time on my hands."

"Definitely I've still got unfinished business in F1," the 30-year-old added. "There's still time and it will happen sooner rather than later."
