Piquet Jr will give Alonso hard time - Fittipaldi

Former F1 champion Emerson Fittipaldi says Nelson Piquet Jr will be an even tougher team mate for Fernando Alonso than Lewis Hamilton ever was. Piquet Jr and Alonso will team up at Renault for the 2008 season.

"Nelsinho will be tougher for Fernando Alonso than Lewis Hamilton ever was," Fittipaldi told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "Nelsinho drives so fast and has done over 15,000km testing with Renault this past year alone, so I think he will give Alonso more trouble than he got from Hamilton."

However, Fittipaldi went on to say that Renault could be title contenders again, if Fernando Alonso can get the team behind him again in the first two months of testing in 2008.
