Robert Kubica says he is optimistic about the upcoming season after BMW went fastest on two of the four final days of testing this year at Jerez. The Polish driver again teams up with Nick Heidfeld and their new BMW will be launched on 14 January.
"We've been mainly working on the 2008 electronics and on the mechanical side of things," he told F1.com. "Aside from that I was running with the 2009 Bridgestone, which was great fun."
"We will run the new car in January and I am quite optimistic after our Jerez test session," he added. "But the final answer will be in Melbourne."
