Heidfeld expects to go well on two new tracks

BMW Sauber driver Nick Heidfeld expects to be very competitive on the two new circuits to join the F1 world tour in 2008 - the first night race at Singapore  in September and the street race at Valencia in August.

Heidfeld says he is well suited to racing on street circuits and as a night-owl, will have no problem racing in the sport's first night race.

"I really enjoy driving on street circuits because they are simply more fun to drive," Heidfeld said. "The plans I've seen for Valencia look very interesting, but you can only really have a proper impression after having driven there."

"The night race at Singapore will certainly be something special," he added. "Without doubt I'm a night person so am really looking forward to that event. The atmosphere is sure to be phenomenal."
