McLaren concludes first week of testing

The McLaren Formula 1 team completed its three-day test in Jerez on Friday. The team's drivers Lewis Hamilton, Heikki Kovalainen and Pedro de la Rosa enjoyed their first miles with the MP4-23 from Wednesday to Friday.

McLaren is the first team that completed a three-day test with both cars. The team presented their brand new car to the media at the Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart, Germany, on Monday. In Jerez the team covered a total of 1,999 kilometres.

On Thursday Hamilton completed the team's fastest time of the day. He completed his fastest lap that day in 1m19.132.

The team will continue its test programme on Monday in the South of Spain.
