14 January 2008

The BMW Sauber F1 team launched its F1.08 on Monday in Munich in front of the invited guests and media. The team furthermore presented its drivers Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica but a test and reserve driver was not present just yet. Theissen revealed the team has yet to make a final decision.

In December two possible candidates to become BMW's third and reserve driver were testing at Jerez for the team. Marko Asmer (British F3 champion) and Javier Villa (GP2 driver) were both hoping to get signed up. But the team has yet to make a decision Theissen said. "The team has not made a decision yet on its third driver. I don't expect a decision to be made before the end of this month," Theissen said.

This week though the team will be testing at Valencia with Marko Asmer again. The team will most likely want to evaluate to young talent from Estonia once more.
