BMW technical director Willy Rampf says he is happy with his 2008 car's performance during its debut track outing this week at Jerez. The car was launched in Munich on Monday before spending four days on track in Spain with drivers Heidfeld and Kubica sharing the test duties.
"We had no noteworthy reliability problems during the test," Rampf saud. "We completed plenty of mileage with the new car and collected a lot of valuable data."
"We now have a good baseline for determining the programme for next week's test session," he added. "We're only just starting with the new car and have a fair amount of work still to do to find the ideal settings."
